About

A linocut visual artist, Cat Wondergem dives into the rough edges and sparkles of humanity, one stroke of watercolor at a time. Initially introduced to linocuts during her middle school years, she did not return to the medium until her late thirties, highlighting “the simplicity and mobility of the tools needed to create this vibrant art form.”

Her process involves four multifaceted parts: drawing, carving, ink, and printmaking, before she can finally dip her paintbrush into a watercolor palette. Using a linoleum block, Cat aims to capture life’s vibrant flow of adventure and authenticity.

She encourages aspiring artists to become deeply familiar with their skillsets. “Take the time to learn what your tools and various techniques can do,” she says. “Learn how they can level up your work.”
