Rae Weekes is the Artistic Director of Heart Inclusive Arts Community, a nonprofit studio in North Charleston, South Carolina that provides visual and performing arts opportunities for adults with disabilities. Since joining Heart in 2014, Rae has been central to creating an inclusive, expressive environment grounded in equity, access, and creativity. Whether coordinating performances or supporting daily studio activities, she fosters connection through compassion and community. Rae believes deeply in the power of art to amplify voices and create belonging “not just creating art,” she says, “but creating equity and opportunity.”
